Default Everyone at work now knows.

The final 2 people at work to become aware that I OC had vastly different reactions. Person A has not said 1 word to even acknowledge the fact. No way they can or have missed the fact.

Person B made a joking comment about me expecting trouble. I explained that for about 20 years I used to CC - but this past spring I began to OC. I told him that among other reasons, I OC because I no longer feel the need to hide that I legally carry. His comment (he is openly gay) was "you know how I feel about hiding things!" Always knew I liked him - he has a good soul

We do not discuss guns or shooting much...I figure it is just not one of his passions.

But, maybe I should invite him to the range next time.

Cheers to open minded people!

Cool story. Sometimes people react the absolute opposite of how you'd expect. I've had pro-gun people freak out over OC, and I've had "sheeple" think it was a good thing.

Go figure.

Carry on!

Weird isn't it? I even had an anti manager not say anything about OC once she knew I didn't carry at work (which is an NPE for employees)

Definately invite him to the range next time. And invite him to visit this website, but also The Cornered Cat as well as The Pink Pistols. I don't know their web addresses, but I am sure you can find them around here or just with google. The first is directed at women, but has much useful information for those considering firearms ownership and carry. The second is a community for gay and lesbian firearms enthusiasts.

Pretty much everyone where I work knows that I'm a gun owner. The people I talk to know I OC.

And I never get in trouble, coincidence?

I know some gay people who are pro gun, and the ones who I told about OC have no problem with it.

And yes, it is odd that non gun people think OC is fine or cool, but the adamant pro gun, pro CC, and "I own 179 guns total" types seem more likley to not like OC. The " you are gonna ruin it for the rest of us!" types...

The most fun of all are the liberal gun owners/pro gun liberals. I only know a few of them, and they think CC AND OC are alright.
