Question where is it best to sell a firearm?

ahve been looking to sell a couple of pieces, and have looked both locally (philly area) and at the online sites. i realize that some areas are 'soft" on certain types of firearms and would like to get a decent price for them.

what have you all found to be the best way to do it?

thanks in advance

ex: the one is an M1 carbine inland div/gmc in pretty good shape

Post it in the classifieds on the forum. If it is a much wanted piece (and right now M1's are) it should sell quickly. Just post what it is, how much you want, if you will ship (or FTF only) and have pictures. Make sure you can get emails or PM's so people can get in touch. Very easy actually.

I'll second that... you'll get the most from a person-person sale at or shipped to a licensed dealer. Trading in to a dealer will not get you nearly what it's worth.

I agree first use the classified section here,if after time it does not sell then try gunbroker.com,it has a fee when you sell but if you want to sell then that's a good place to list your item.
