I think I'd prefer normal drop downs, like the ones I did at paopencarry.org, that way if another sub section is added it doesn't require horizontal space to 'make it fit'

Well we can decide that once we see the volume of content and sections, if there isn't that much we can do the horizontal ones.

With the current menu options those should be able to contain any sub sections that are needed.

ie:
The Beliefs
>> Rights (Self explanatory)
>> Religious (What hers were, some basic info on them, how they affected her daily life, etc)
>> Personal (family values, personal responsibility, etc)

Here's what I have for the first cut of the site structure. Please suggest add/remove/alter as you see fit. We need volunteers for each section so please think about what you may be able to contribute with your time to gather contents and/or write for each sections. Please PM me with what you would like to assist with so I can mark you down.

HOME – Write a summary of Meleanie’s life and tragedy, focus her beliefs and passion, on domestic violence, leading into other sections of the site.

THE LIFE –
1. Biography – Gather information and write. Solicit help from her family to write this? (Harekrishna & vegetarianism? Not sure where to fit this. It’s an integral part of her life).

2. Personal Stories – Gather stories from the other thread(s), gather stories from her family shared during memorial service.

3. Photo Gallery – Gather photos throughout the various threads and organize them.

4. Meleanie in the News – Gather links to articles, select key articles for permanent hosting (since articles may be archived or removed from source eventually)

THE BELIEFS
1. Open Carry & Gun Rights – What is open carry? What did Meleanie believe? How did she impact OC?

2. Support the Troops – What did Meleanie do to support the troops? Write down stories from memorial service. What can one do to support the troops?

THE LEGACY
1. Domestic Violence – Write about prevalence of domestic violence? Statistics? How was her tragedy an issue of DV, not guns? What to do to prevent/avoid DV?

2. Open Carry – What can others do to continue Meleanie’s legacy by supporting OC? Links to open carry information and organizations/forums.

3. Family & Friends – Write about her children & mom (need to get their permission). What can one do to help? Write about her impact on her friends from PAFOA, PAOpenCarry, and others.

4. Support & Donate – Write about where to donate to support what cause, focus on donate to support her children. Describe list of events and memorial merchandise (ribbons, buttons, etc.) that can be organized/sold to raise funds.

1. Copy editor(s) – grammar and spellings
2. Point person for contact with family regarding the site and site content?
3. Point person for contact with media and other external resources requiring rights?

I can't believe this happened..

I remember PMing her about a post she made how the "sheriff now forced her to Open Carry by taking away her LTCF."
