Default Meleanie Hain fund raiser & other action items committee: Enroll here/brainstorm here

There is a lot of things that will need done and that folks have expressed a desire to do. Some right away and some later down the road. Additionally, there will be discussion required to work out many of the ideas posed for fund raising, memorials, etc.

I propose we use this thread as a central point to focus our efforts so as to better keep things coordinated by having the info in one place.

For starters I will post a list of tasks we need help on. Both people to volunteer to get the task done and ideas on how to best get it done. This list will grow and be edited as needed.
For prioritizing I will separate the items into two categories based on urgency/timeline and two colors to distinguish where help is still needed.

RED = Items needing info/volunteers
BLUE = Items that should be good to go in regards to manpower, etc. Further discussion, info and volunteers more than welcomed though.
Volunteers will be added between ( ) on list items.

SHORT LIST/PIORITIES
1) Memorial items. pins/stickers/etc. (goofin) We want to secure some appropriate identity items for the service, etc. We have a couple leads on this now, stickers look to be covered (will update soon) but I would think pins would be nice. Maybe folks have other suggestions. Proceeds to go to the trust fund.
2) Trust fund:Belco Community Credit Union
ATTN: Jennie Witwer
201 Good Dr
Lancaster, PA 17603
Reference Acct. #882220
3) Gathering before services: For those of us that arrive early.
Java and Sweets,inc.
114W Orange St.
It appears to be right across Orange, from the parking garage.
About 1 block east of the funeral home.

4) Memorial gathering after services: Confirmed and they are expecting us
Venice Pizza
3079 Columbia Ave
Lancaster, PA 17603
(717) 396-1100
http://www.venicepizzaandpasta.com/

5) Flowers. (exceltoexcel)I would like folks to consider donations to the childrens fund, but I also feel it appropriate to arrange for flowers on behalf of us as a group. We'll need someone to look into that (pricing, etc) and post up some options.

FUTURE LIST
1) Memorial Website: (mchaley) (dc dalton)
2) Benefit Concert: (jahwarrier). Looks like we have a band, could use more as well as help organizing and picking a venue.

If you want to volunteer for these (or other ideas) items please post in the thread. (My PM's are getting hard to keep up with)
If you rather remain anonymous by all means send me a PM.

I will update the above list as needed incident to ideas, discussion of ideas and volunteers in this thread.

Don't know if we can help with anything you have listed so far but you know what talents I have. If there's anything I can do along those lines just ask and I am there.

Maybe I could put together a memorial web page for her where people can post their remembrances and condolences (and maybe a central point for donations to be made) ... if that's helpful I could build it within a week (would just need some pics of her) ... we could link it off of paopencarry.org without too many issues.

Also I did mention if anyone needed help at any of the planned shoots Tootie and I are more than happy to help, don't think we would be up to much shooting anyways.

Glad you mentioned this.
I will put it on the long list. We actually have a donation for server space already and will need people to code/maintain (wink).

I'm posting this here Pa. Patriot. I sent to you in an email earlier which is most likely clogged up.

Cindy and I are going Christmas shopping next week
Meleanie's children are 2,6, and 10 correct?
Which are boys and which are girls?
We would like to know where to send them to.
We would like to just put on them from Santa if this is Ok?
I know this is early but Cindy and I need to do something to ease our minds. This has us both extremely upset and is as much for our therapy as help for Meleanie's children

We will volunteer to help what ever way we can. Just let us know what you need us to do.

put me down for helping with stickers.

if anyone can make a banner of some sort i will gladly post it on my janitorial website and my security systems website.

how about a gun raffle? just a few guns to keep expenses down and more profit to go the kids fund.

flowers? there should be some type of wreath for the service/funeral.

I see no problem with this. We arrange delivery offline though.
