If you have a few guns up for auction you will limit the participation in the auction.

I do understand there may be legalities with selling 50/50 tickets or some other games of chance. So please don't take this as criticizism(sp) It's just an observation.

No matter what you decide I will do may best to participate and help raise funds..
An auction need not be limited to just the more expensive items. Good publicity, listing and detailing some of the items that will be up for bid should take care of that - something for everyone.

Details should be forthcoming VERY soon. I'm in contact with Meleanie's mother on a regular basis, and during our last conversation she said that things had been taken care of, but she was out running errands at the time, and I was in the hospital for some testing, so it was a less than ideal time to exchange the info.

http://forum.pafoa.org/lounge-108/76...hiredgoon.html

HiredGoon has said he would like the proceeds from the .45 cal ammo to be donated in his name at Meleanie's memorial shoot in NEPA on 11/01.

I will be bringing it along and it will be raffled/auctioned/donated in his name.

Have not heard whether their immediate needs are covered at least in part by insurance. That will not effect my desire to contribute to a memorial fund, college fund or something similar.

There are people in Va. that will gladly contribute as soon as something definite is set up.

This is true!
But from past experiences that I've seen, most of the items sold at charity auctions sell for more then there retail value, because it is about charity.
Which in these tight times, will eliminate some of us from bidding.

Where with something like gun tickets and the like, everyone has a chance.

Anyway, I will support what ever descision that is made to the best of my ability. I'm not here to debate which is better, I was just making an observation and giving an opinion..

Thank you to those who are working on this for your time and effort
and Thank you to our brothers and sisters in VA for your help

Oh I just thought of something, if you need a roll of tickets, let me know, I think I have a full roll that our Civil War unit was going to use to raise money for the USO etc.. But those plans got changed so we don't need them...
