Sad news. Meleanie Hain [shefearsnothing] was killed tonight

I'm a relatively new member here and this is a very sad reason for my first post. I met Meleanie and Scott but once and that was just a few short months ago at a training session in Hellertown. My thought and prayers remain with their children and family. It is also obvious, through reading the posts, that Meleanie was a very much loved and respected
contributer, friend and member of PAFOA. My condolences to all.

This is all I have to say:

I never met SFN in person.

I didn't agree with everything she posted here.

Having just heard about this senseless tragedy because I was burying a loved one, I really can't adequately express how sick this makes me.

I defended her against many prominent people here who called her an attention whore, for doing nothing more than standing up for herself as best she could, and for being exactly what every person who claims to believe in the right to keep and bear arms should be, themselves.

The attention whore did more for gun owners in this Commonwealth than most of the people on here combined, just by deciding not to lie down and deciding to not let anyone get away with smearing her good name, and if you don't know what I am talking about, well that is alright, just remember her the next time a cop sees your openly carried firearm and does nothing more than nod at you.

She will be missed here, by much more than just the obvious standard.


For the last time, Thank You Ms. Hain.

I hope she found peace.

It is an unusual emotion to feel when something like this happens. I had menial things I could have done this afternoon but I chose to let them wait after reading this thread. I'd never met Meleanie but I've read a few of her posts and watched quite a few of the soccer mom (news videos) quite a while after the soccer incident took place.

I'm curious by nature so I spent a little time looking through her recent posts, trying to come up with a pattern or clue. A hint that something may not be right. I've thought about her children and what everyone must have gone through in those last moments. The whole thing kind of effects your mind in a very strange way. I know these are just my impressions, but I can visualize the room, feel a sense of fear and confusion. I can even visualize e few things that are best unmentioned.

Over my years on the internet, I've experienced news similar (but nothing as unusual) to this at forums I've belonged to. Sometimes very active, important members just disappear, never to be heard from again. Months and even years later, someone will ask "who was X or Y?" The member was that important, or left such a great impression on the forum, that they were considered a forum legend. I believe "shefearsnothing" is already one of those legends and rightfully so.

I do have a question. Does anyone know the meaning of the numbers next to her signature photo? The "7-18-18, 1-4-3." Also, I noticed that quite a few people are using the avatar I'm using. It wasn't mine and I thought I'd use it to. I think it's a great idea and it would be a first for any message board I've ever belonged to, if everyone used it.

I'm going to bed now. I hope all of you that are close to Meleanie get some rest. I'm 10-7 the day after 10/7

"1 4 3" usually means "I Love You".
One number represents each words' number of letters.
i am not sure the others may be her childrens bdays?
