Default Rainier in a Glock?

I know you shouldn't use lead bullets in an unsupported chamber, but does this apply to the Rainier plated bullets too? I'd be using them in a Glock 30 & 23.

I don't know what other options for bullets there are if not lead? Steel?

I have heard of the "no lead bullets in Glocks" but don't think there is much truth to it. I think the companies that make the plated bullets are the ones putting out the "no lead" claims. You have to clean the barrel more often with the straight lead bullets, and that might be the factor as some don't clean the barrel as they should.

I use Rainier bullets just for the fact that it lessens my exposure to lead.

I personally shoot Lead alloy bullets through my Glock 30. I don't think you'd have a problem with plated bullets as long as you flare the case enough so the copper plating doesn't shred off when you seat the bullets.

I was referring to the uncoated lead alloy bullets like Brad mentioned.

Rainier bullets are a molded lead bullet that's been electroplated with a thin coat of copper. Bullets like, Hornady, Speer, etc are basically a copper cup that has been filled with lead. The copper coating on them is much thicker.

i've shot a fair amount of rainier with good success out of a g35 and some out of a g29. I usually load plated bullets to lead bullet specs

Thanks everyone. I usually load XTP's for my 9mm, .40 & .45, but at Midway & Natchez the bullet weights I use are on backorder. I was just looking for an alternative. I still have 600 rounds of .40 & 200 of .45, so it's not an emergency yet.

It's a polygonal rifling issue, not chamber support.
Plated bullets will be ok.
Plated bullet mfgs, ( and cautious practice) call for using jacketed data of same wt and shape.
