Default Booted from the Home Depot(Easton)

I go up to the counter and ask where something was and the guy comes out from behind the counter and starts walking towards me asked me to show a badge or else I would have to leave. He mentioned that he was the store manager. I told this guy that I did not have a badge because I was not a cop. He told me that I could leave it in my vehicle and come back in, to which I replied "NO". I walked out of the store and left my merchandise sitting in the aisle. When I got home I called and spoke with him to confirm that he was in fact Alan, the store manager, which he is, and if it was his policy or a corporate one. According to him, it is a corporate policy. I told him that I knew of a couple of people that had similar circumstances and they were all informed that the corporate policy is that if it is allowed by state law then they allow it. He said that he would look into it and I told him that I would be contacting corporate just so that we would all know. Alan was respectful the whole time with just a little aire of arrogance.
I am going to email corporate and hopefully get an understanding with this manager IF someone could help me out by letting me know the email to send it to. My search fu is not strong tonight.

On a side note, I met Rauswaffen tonight. Ran into him just before the incident.

What a coincidence. I need to go to Home Depot tomorrow. Please provide the address, not familiar with the ones in Easton. I go to Home Depot in Bethlehem all the time but Lowes in Easton.

Why are we not shopping at mom and pop stores and support the local economy and the type of people who truly built this county???

I have to drive 5 miles just to get to Home Depot. And there's nothing closer. You want me to drive to Lakeview to shop? Is there a Home Depot nearby in case your store doesn't have what I need?

The day after True Crimson was jacked up in the Allentown Home Depot on Lehigh St in Allentown, I spoke at length on the telephone with the store manager. He assured me that Home Depot did not have a policy against carrying a firearm, and that I would be welcome in the store carrying. I proved that point by showing up later that day and doing some shopping just to make sure. That was a long time ago, and I have been in the store more times than I can remember with no trouble at all.

When our grandson was born a few weeks ago, I spent more time in the Home Depot in Chippewa than I care to think about, buying tools and supplies to work on the house our daughter and son-in-law just moved into. No problems there either with my OC. But I was in that store at least five times in three days, and spent quite a bit of time talking to employees, and even other customers. One guy from OH was all excited about people OCing in PA. The store manager can toss you for whatever he wants, but that does not mean it is a good idea. Good luck with getting him straightened out.

As for shopping in the mom and pop stores, I have done just that, even when it cost me more and was a little less convenient. The thing is, not enough people think like I do, because they keep closing on me.
