You are to be commended for your pro-active safety concerns in the thread you mentioned. So many children come into this world greeted by "family" who have little concern for them... it saddens me to hear of this tragic news.
When the time is right, pass along our condolences to your daughter.

So far in my life I have always been happy to find that a potential pregnancy has been avoided. I just cannot fathom having a child yet and hope after each "attempt" that we do not get sent into the bounds of parenthood.


I am sure that the fear I have for parenthood is as equal as your hope and love for your future grandkid. I am sure I can't truly understand what you feel but it will get better. We almost lost my mother in law a few years ago and it was a LONG, slow process getting her back into health. Just be lucky that your event is over, allowing you to grieve and move on.
