Default Re: target shooting

First...makes sure you know what is behind the area you want to shoot toward. A bullet can travel quite a distance. If there is a good backstop (hill or something like that), so much the better.
If you are in a township, I suggest you call your township police to determine if there are any ordinances concerning shooting.
If not in a township...I'd guess you'd be OK...just use COMMON SENSE.

I'm just SE of Red Lion, PA. It's fairly rural, but there are homes within range, if I was to be careless when shooting.

Personally, I'll shoot .22's and the occasional 9 mm. These are both out of pistols. I don't shoot rifles around here, but I do hear folks sighting in their rifles prior to Deer season.

Main thing...COMMON SENSE and KNOW WHAT'S BEHIND YOUR TARGET

thanks for the help i know to shoot into a hill knowing a bullet can travel a nice distance. The only reason im gona start doing this is cause of gpgc being shut down and all of these state gamelands have a 3 bullet rule and 6 bullet pistol rule. anything close to me is a 100yrd rifle range. plus i got alot of friends that like to buy ammo and shoot when i go. some of these clubs limit how many guest i can bring.
