    I'd agree 100%. The local shops have been helpful to me. I wouldn't feel right about giving my business to anyone else.

    It's all going to depend on the shop, and that can be with any product. I've had quite the diverse shopping experiences back in my Guitar buying days.

    You should consider going to a range and renting some guns. Our range (as I expect do others) charges a flat rental fee, so you can keep swapping one rental gun with another without additional charges.

    The local shop by me doesn't, they charge PER rental.

    I'd just call ahead and ask whomever is local to you.

    My DAO pistol has a much lighter trigger pull than any revolver I have used, except for my Vaquero which had a SASS trigger spring replacement. The advantages of it are that it is flatter than any revolver hence much more concealable. Also, it is more quickly reloaded, although I will admit that I have not played with any revolver type speedloaders.

    To be honest, I had always preferred SA/DA semi's - but, now using a DAO it is just fine.
