Default Any opinions on a SA XD?

hey all,
i was looking to upgrade to a better 9mm (i currently have a '06 ruger p95) and was looking at a SA XD 4" service model.
anyone have any opinions on these? reviews seem to be positive but id like some "field experience" so to speak.
im not trying to sound like a dik but just looking for opinions on XD only - not a whole "just buy a glock/sig/etc." or anything like that.
thanks for your time

Never seen one choke.

Better trigger than a stock Glock......but not as good as a hard worked Glock.

Surprisingly accurate.

Worth the money.

I've seen about 40 of them on the line so that's a decent sample, I guess.

My XD .40:

Fits great in my hands, accurate, nice loaded chamber and cocking indicators, good safety features, and I wear one with complete confidence that it will not fail me.

My 4" is a little big for warm weather carry. The sub compact might be a better choice if you want to carry it concealed every day. The subbie has an extended mag that makes the grip as long as the service model.

Whatever XD you choose, it will be one of the best pistols you ever own.

My XD 9 4" model is something that i never leave home without. Haven't had any problems with it at all. Simple to use, simple to clean, and it feels good in my hands. I've got a few thousand rounds through it and everytime that i look at it it screams "feed me!" Definitely a good pistol.

I have a 9mm 3.1 inch SAXD and I've put well over 4000 rounds through it, actually I'll bet its closer to 5000 rounds. Works like a charm only had it jamb with an aftermarket 32 round mag never with any of my OEM (8) 16 rnd mags or my (1) 15 rnd or (2) 10 rnd mag. I love it and I want to buy another for my left hand

SA has their 1911 frames and slides manufactured in Brazil. They're assembled here in the states.
