I can't wait to get it back as I really like the gun.
Mine was doing the same thing. I just got it back Friday. It was 4 weeks almost to the day.
I took it to the range this week end. I put WWB and some American Eagle target ammo through it totaling 150 rounds. We only have 1 adjustable target station at my club so I had to shoot at 50ft.

After a couple of mags. I was pretty consistent at hitting a standard size paper plate. I consider that pretty good for me and this gun.
Sights give great initial alignment and recoil is very manageable. Gun was very easy to get back on target for a follow up shot. I even broke the club rules and shot 5 rapid fire rounds. All 5 rounds in the paper plate. Not bad in my opinion for a 3.2" barrel.

Evidentally whatever caused the gun to FTE was fix by Taurus. I need to put another 2-300 rounds through it before carrying it full time, my initial trip tells me this is going to be a nice summer and deep conceal 9mm carry gun.

I really like the the thin profile. Trigger pull works well for me. It's a good shooter for the money.

I actually stuck it in my shirt pocket underneath my jacket the other day and carried it that way all day with no problem. I see no reason why you couldn't stick in the inside pocket of a coat or jacket.

Heavy enough to manage recoil and light enough to stick in your pocket.

Honest to God - are things that bad in the Firearms World reinventing the same old pistols over and over and over again with a little of this or a little of that - and people fall for it every time.

It's like a Woman in a shoe store

God man - it's a G19 in a single stack who cares... PF9 but about a $100 more and 9mm, such a waste of brass and powder

For Christ sake just buy the TC738 and save yourself about a $100 with some Hornady critical defense loads and be done with it for a pocket pistol for all you folks that need a pistol shoved into every orifice of you're body -lol...

BTW, Taurus has more models of pistols and revolvers than Alfred E Newman has freckles -

Unless I am missing something there is no need for a FFL transfer between father and son. Save the money and put it towards some ammo to try it out.

Yes - I like them both....

But I just think it's a waste to reinvent the 9mm again in an already overcrowded MARKET - I mean the 9mm market is just so OVER DONE -

How about that same pistol in a 10mm ...? or .45acp only competition would be the G36.

I just ordered a 738TCP - should have it Thursday -

Since Glock doesn't make a single stack 9mm(yet) then it's a viable concealment option if say we're...I dunno.....Shoe shopping?

Not trying to hi-jack the thread w/ the old "9mm v/ the world" debate. In my mind 9mm=baseball bat. .380=t-ball bat. Both will hurt you when hit by them. If, however I'm the one doing the hitting I definitely want the baseball bat....or the .45 i.e. the Fast moving Truck!

Just sayin....

Get up on the wrong side of the bed today ?-

Or did you have to much alcohol or drugs last evening - or maybe both, good luck with you're gun choices as I'm sure someday soon, with you're attitude, you will need that back-up pistol.

- just sayin'...

Just to clarify: if you're buying 9mm why not save a $100 and buy the .380 and load it up with some Buffalo bore you'll achieve the same results (pretty much) it will be much more concealable and save you some bucks - again, as stated above, I like em' both, but bought the .380 for the preferences stated herein' - not sure why some clown has to come along and piss on people's opinions. BTW, I think both calibers are a waste of time but serve a purpose as a back up round.

My reason for the Taurus was the thin profile single stack mag. I wanted a 9mm because that's what I choose to carry.

I don't see where your saving money with a .380 unless you reload, which I don't. .380 ammo is hard to get, and more expensive than 9mm. Unless you never practice with the .380, that 100 bucks you save is chewed up in cost of ammo real quick.

I also don't carry a back up gun.

Yes, maybe the 9mm has been over done. Everybody has their reasons for the guns they like. Tons of people like Glocks. I don't. Nothing wrong with Glock, I just prefer other makes and models.

Nobody is making another 10mm because nobody buys 10mm. I'll bet even the die hard .45 owners have at least one 9mm.

It's a great country the United States of America, we have wide range of choices in all aspects of our lives, guns, cars, even toothpaste. Go buy some toothpaste, you want to see over done, go to a super market. Everybody like something different, that's why we have choices.

Aint it nice, we have the freedom to buy what we like and voice our opinion no matter how stupid we sound.

Honestly tripletap I never touch the stuff. Not even on New Year's. I had a great night's sleep, so thank you for your concern.
To clarify and to be perfectly candid I respect your opinion greatly. I'm sure you have your reasons for holding to those opinions. Some reasons may be based on practical real-world experience that would serve to enlighten us all and help the established PAFOA community make informed decisions.
I do not, however, respect your delivery. Caustic, unstructured, and abrasive to say the least. The proof of this is the way you reacted to my post. It made you feel the same way I'm sure your post made others (Including myself) feel: Wondering who this is disregarding the OP and the topic at hand and posting a "trash rant" about a firearm style and caliber he/she feels is "overdone."
Nothing contributing to the PT709 or the discussion. Before you go getting your feelings hurt and continue misconstruing the intent behind my response to your post take a look at exactly what you said, how I responded, and how you responded in kind, and rest assured this "Sharpshooter guy" has seen the post AND agrees with Sauergrapes: We do indeed enjoy outstanding freedoms to buy what we like and voice our opinions regardless of how it makes us sound...
