Finally got one...

Finally picked up a Chrono. I got a Chorny F1 @ Shyda's for $75.00 Midway had them for $70.00 but when you factor in shipping, it would have cost around the same.

So now we have 2 in our group, w00t w00t! I will let you guys borrow it if you want to use it. Except for Brad of course

actually theres 3 since Jim and I both have one, I just dont get out there to much any more with the way ive been working. I havent had a day off in over 6 months. this 7 day a week stuff is getting old. just dont hit the rods, I shot mine once already, if you hit one let me know I picked up some rod to make spare ones for the cronys.

How the hell have you been L3thal? I was even checking to see if you were posting off your profile the other day to see where you were at. I feel you on the work note, I haven't been rolling 7 days a week, but 6 days a week is enuf for me.


I didn't know you had a chrono, thats pretty banging. Which one do you have? As far as shooting the rods, if you ever need a report on what happens when a rod is shot with a Desert Eagle in 50 AE just ask Dextrimental

Im working 2 jobs 2 diffrent shifts so im wore out, mon-fri is my normal job day shift, fri-sun Im working security at night. and sometimes they throw in a weeknight so I only get 4 hours of sleep between jobs. same as tonight I get off at midnight get in bed around 1 AM and wake up at 5 for the other job.

I have a crony beta master, I had it at jonestown before I just only set it up there one time, when im testing I just go to bethel most of the time since im only 2 miles from there. or if Im only doing one or 2 shots I just shoot right behind my house.

Congrats on the Chrony, I had one a few years back...don't let anyone shoot Black powder over it, it screwed it up royal...
I have had an Oehler 35 for about 5 years now, it's the cats nutz, 3 screens, very accurate.

My dad gave me a tip that I should have acted on before Brad shot mine.
Use wooden dowel rod for the sunshade rods, It's cheap and easy to cut, and if they're hit they'll shatter and barely even make the unit twitch. If you score a fairly solid hit on a metal rod it can do some damage to the unit, maybe even ruin it because of the energy transfer.
Luckily Brad only grazed the rod he hit, it didn't do anything more than a little bit of damage to the plastic around the hole but the steel rod was FUBAR.
Now I have wooden rods and I carry a few extras with the unit.
