Default Good buis for ar15

Looking at getting some buis for my ar15. The front needs 2 be for the gas block. Something of good quality but won't break the bank.

Magpul MBUS. I think you can get both for under $100. (example - http://store.tradingpostsupply.com/s...ndustries.html )

Magpul does not recommend that their front sight be mounted on the gas block due to the heat. The plastic could melt. Just wanted to clear that up for the OP, he states that the front sight will be for the gas block.

The best are Troy's. Expensive but worth it if you want sights and not decoration on your gun.

I had bad experience with the Troy rear flip up buis. when locked in the upright position it was not sturdy and wiggled back and fourh about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. This effected the accuracy of the weapon to a great extent at 50 yards. The groupings were about 7 inches apart from each other vertically, It has been returned and a new one is coming in next week so I'll give an update when it gets here.

We found out that Troy is designing these to wiggle a little but not that much.
Reason being, troops in Iraq had been getting sand in them, so they made it a little bit loose that way even if a little sand was in it, it would still be able to "lock" in the upright position.

Nor to over-tighten the base screw!

Troy BUIS! Troy makes rock solid products. They do have a bit of play for the reason explained above, but snap right back. I can shoot 1 MOA with my irons at 100 yards! Good product and they have great customer service.

No wiggle in mine, they lock up solid. I can shoot great groups with them. Did you contact troy to see if yours are within correct tolerances? I would contact them and see if they will make them right.
