These cylinders only work on some modern "replicas" with steel frame. Read the description carefully. You can use 45 LC for some of them.

Since a blackpowder pistol is not legally described as a firearm, is it even technically legal to carry a loaded one in a vehicle? I'm thinking no, but it seems like a gray area to me.

Just carry your regular carry piece. Being a victim of theft is not a valid reason to revoke a ltcf. If you're concerned, spend the $X you're planning to spend on a black powder revolver on a lock box for your trunk.

Why is this thread persisting? It's just not a worthwhile idea.
