This is a neat article showcasing different handgun/flashlight techniques and their pros and cons. It even has some very serious individuals posing for pictures! Enjoy!

Curious the Rogers method isn't mentioned.

What's the Rogers method?

You grasp the flashlight in the support hand as you would a syringe using the fleshy base of the support thumb to activate the light (tailcap).
It still permits the ring and little finger to wrap around the firing hand for a quasi-normal grip.

I find that the Harries and Neck index work best for me. I didn't check out the link, but I don't doubt that both of those are shown...wonder why no mention of the Rogers method as Tony stated?

Ken J Good is the guru of all things flashlight.
Don't lock yourself in to one technique. each of them have applications. Generally i use neck/cheek index and harries for piing corners on the other side. |

I like to wear my Craftsman hat when I hear a "bump" in the night or the dog alerts me to something. It has l.e.d. lights at the end of the bill and I can see both my sights and whatever direction I am looking.
It allows the light to follow your head and free your hands. Maybe it's a cheap way out but it seemed like a great idea and so far I like it. My son got me the hat for Father's Day a year ago. It's also handy working under a heavily modified Jeep Any thoughts?

Other than someone shooting at the direction of the light?
