Finally received LTCF from Dauphin county..
I applied for the license toward the end of May, and was getting antsy because I was closing in on 45 days from when I submitted the application.
I'd applied at Ron Marsico's office on Linglestown Road, and at the time the deputy that took my application told me I'd get a call in "a week or two". Given the fact that there was kind of a line of folks on that particular Wednesday, I figured it might be more like 4.
So I patiently waited for the call.
I have an answering machine that works pretty well. As in I've never had an issue. I've also got caller ID. When I tell you that I'm 1000% positive that I didn't get a call, I'm not joking.
So knowing that I had something going on after work on Wednesday, I headed over there this evening just to check. I didn't want to be confrontational, so I claimed that I stopped by to check because my answering machine hadn't been working. My card was ready, and in fact has an issue date of 6/2/09.
They had issued it within a week!!
Wisdom received as follows - Dauphin county is moving on these things far faster than you might think, so if you use the Linglestown Road office, it probably won't hurt to check in at 4 weeks tops if you haven't received a call.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.

When I got mine no one called me - the same office told me to come back on the next Wednesday (I applied on Wednesday). I did, got my wallet out of course, and got my card.
