Default C&R after death

My Dad died in 2006, and he had a C&R ffl. There is only one entry in his bound book, which I just came across when cleaning up, but I am fairly certain he bought more than one gun on it. In addition, while in possesion of the C&R ffl he bought a bunch of CMP garands, none of which are in the book.

The reason this comes up now, is because a renewal notice came from the ATF for the C&R about two months ago, and it started my search for the bound book.

What the heck am I supposed to do?

cmp purchases are not c&r purchases.
buying through the cmp, is buying right from the government and they will ship right to your door.

Apply for YOUR C&R, put any necessary pieces in YOUR bound book; the CMPs are free and clear as normal rifles.

Mark the license as 'Deceased', and send the bound book, marked license, a copy of the death certificate, and bound book to the appropriate address.

You don't have to do anything.

From the BATFE:
Are licensed collectors required to turn in their acquisition/disposition records to ATF if their collector’s license is not renewed or they discontinue their collecting activity?

No. The GCA requires the delivery of required records to the Government within 30 days after a firearms “business” is discontinued. A license as a collector of curios or relics does not authorize any business with respect to firearms. Therefore, the records required to be kept by licensed collectors under the law and regulations are not business records and are not required to be turned in to ATF when collectors' licenses are not renewed or collecting activity under such licenses is discontinued.
