Default Took my son to the range for 1st time - July 4

It was great. I'm new to guns, so the whole family is new to it too. My son is a young teen. Yesterday I took him to the range and we shot my .38. It was awesome. He had a lot of fun. It's a S&W 642, so it kicks. He used some gloves and handled the recoil very well.

There was no one else there, and perfect weather, and they had just replaced all the backboards. Nice.

We stayed out at about 11 feet, it turned out to be. His first target had a tight group up to the right. Then he shot several more cylinders. His last target had a tight group mostly in black, with one flier up right. He did great!

I'm glad I sprang for the extra 10 bucks for the "family membership"!

Sounds like a great father / son day.

Good on you for getting into shooting and bringing your son into it too. We can never have too many shooting enthusiasts.

Sounds like a perfect day at the range. I am hoping that someday my girls will become more interested...

Good job. It was a beautiful day for it, too.

Great Way to spend time with your son, especially on the 4th.

Now the challenge is to keep going and drill safety.

Good job! When I was younger about 5-7 i can remember the family at my grandfathers place target shooting. Hell now days I get the dirty looks when I take beer to the reunions. Well just certain sides of the family. Things sure have changed. Keep up the good work but get pictures next time.
