Default 336 35 Rem on Craigslist

Today on Craigslist someone listed a Marlin 336 in 35 Rem fro 200.00.. I emailed them and got a call back within 2 min... It sounded like a young girl and I said that I was calling about the gun. I asked the condition, rust, dings etc. she said there were some dings on the stock but no rust... Then I said When could I come take a look at it... She rambled on about being in Colonial park, so I said not a problem it would take me awhile but I could head right out...We could meet somewhere, she cut me off and said that she just had a baby so she couldn't go anywhere.. Again not a problem.. Then she asked if I was willing to pay the asking price..I said sure if the gun is in the condition you say... Then she said she would call me right back..... Sure enough 10 min later she calls and says that she has an emergency and that she would call me back later, She sounded as if something is wrong with the whole thing, both times I had her on the phone.. Something just sounded off...

Now, if she calls back and I say IF I am not sure that I want the gun great price or not.. The ad stated that it was here late fathers and that they needed to pay bills... When I had her on the phone I told her that I would pay in cash on the spot... No bite....

I wonder whats up....

It was a low price

My spidey senses are tingling , how did she even get the ad on Craigslist ??!! Their pretty clear about not excepting ads for firearms , related materials or other weapons

craigslist is moderated by the users, you can post whatever you want, but some people will flag it and it gets taken down. I picked up a Hi Point 995 carbine on CL a month ago for $100, and the ad was up for like 5 days.

Stolen gun? Druggie got her hands on it and you sounded like a cop, maybe?

Maybe, But I only asked what any used gun buyer would... I mean for 200 what are you really expecting... I was thinking something is wrong with this gun....

Anyway, I sent an email this morning but I have yet to recieve a reply..

Oh well, I was only thinking of flipping it anyway!
