I talked to you today, but I forget what you looked like.....LOL Ponytale? Anywho, GOOD event guys, Awesome!!!Fun!!! Im Tired, but I had to go to worx afterward so...... Who won what?....Linx? Linx to some pics? There was certainly enough cameras there. I enjoyed all stages exceptfortheonesIgotpunchedin but my favorites were the ones involving the Shotgun, I loves me some Shotguns! I only wish that at these things you got to do a practice round or walk through before doing the live shoot, but the way their presented it more real world IMO and lets me know where I need to brush up. Good day all round. I had an Endorphin rush on the way to work like you wouldnt believe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!!! .

Wow, seems like Delta has the majority of the posts here! Great group of guys, and Dave was an awesome platoon leader.
Every stage was a blast and I have to rate the Zombie House as one of the most fun. Shotgun was a hoot as well. In the future, I would like to see more targets for shotgun, as its a fun gun to shoot and ammo is cheap! I was really interested to see the malfunctions in all of the various stages (including mine). Seems like shotgun was the more problematic - I'd be curious to know which brands got through with the least problems. Thanks again guys at LRGC - you rock! |

Thanks!
Gary and I appreciate you coming out and supporting our club, our committee, and our shared sport. The pistol/shotgun stage was in my opinion the most technically difficult stage to complete. It became apparent that a lot of guys had not practiced at all with regard to handling the shotgun in an "uncertain" condition. People were short stroking pump guns, double feeding semis, and generally taking a rather benign situation created with their shotgun from the frying pan........... to the fire. The first thing people did (incorrectly) was to immediately try and operate the action without glancing at the chamber to see what the problem was, or even trying first to engage a threat with it. I wanted to have more shotgun targets too on the traffic jam stage. Next time we are definitely going to increase the depth and complexity of that stage by a lot. Using the wood "zombies" as a target design didn't hold up as strongly as we had hoped. We will commission the creation of metal ones for next time, and they will be bad-ass I promise you. --Fargo007 |

The "unknown condition" was a nice touch. I think having seen that once, I will approach it different next time. Mike - Delta |

Hey fellow Delta members! Wanted to say that I had a great time and meet a lot of great people. This was pretty much my first shooting event and I was pretty hyped to have made it through without getting ripped. So you guys can put a screen name with a face, I was shooting with my M1 carbine.

Mike, I didn't get to see it, but I heard you made the 200yd shot. Did you get it on the first try?

A paintball is .68", so hitting one at 100Y is nearly a half minute of angle shot.
Not easy. 200Y would be a .34MOA shot. Okay, that makes the 100Y one look easy. And add in the rain, humidity, and gusts up to 15MPH that we had all day and they both start showing an insane degree of difficulty. I heard the precision shooters all completed their mission, with a couple successfully engaging that 200Y shot. Assuming a 3" brain stem shot, this extrapolates into an 882Y target presentation, where an instant neutralization hit is called for. I was the Alpha platoon leader. My shooters did very well, and I heard from the other LT's that their guys brought some good game too. We've got some work for next year ahead of us. No doubt about it, but we know what the juicy plums were, and we'll keep them, and shrink some of the other stuff as well. --Fargo007 |
