Default Am I overly concerned?

In the ammo section I posted 2 links from where I found some good deals on ammo, so I actually wound up purchasing about 200 rounds of ammo.

It all came today, 100 rounds of federal hyrdashock 147gr 9mm and 100 rounds of remington golden saber 124gr 9mm.

Im out running errands, and i left the lil lady @ home so she can sign for the package. I left at 4pm and i came back about 20 minutes ago and saw 2 boxes sitting by the door. I saw they had my name on them and I was in awe of how careless the UPS guy has been. To give you some background on the matter this isnt the first incident of the guy being careless with packages that required a signature, last week they left my iphone at the door the week before that some stuff ordered from amazon was stolen, amazon was kind enough to replace them.

The package was marked by both companies as needing an adult signature. As soon as I walked in the door I called UPS to notify them of what happened..

Is me being furious over the situation of him leaving the packages there overkill?

UPS did the same think to me last yr. The cyber school we use for my sons schooling sent my oldest a laptop, clearly stating adult signature required, yet it was left on the porch.

I guess they did not see that news special several months ago about how many people are having things left by ups, fedex and others being stolen in this economy.

I diddnt see that special, but what really irked me was that he put the package down as 'CUST MET MAN' and I think signed my name. what if the package that was stolen wasnt something from amazon but ammunition...who knows what couldve happened then

and i am raising the highest of hell.....not so much to get him fired but to wise up and do his job

If he did sign your name thats forgery and he should be charged and fired. If that was me I would demand to see if it was signed.

This happens to me a lot. While it's not a big deal because my house is in the middle of nowhere, if I lived just about anywhere else I'd raise hell about it. I had to raise a bit of a stink about them delivering packages to my parents' house because they'd just see the last name and take it there.

But yea, if it requires a signature and he didn't get one, you should have had UPS recouping your cost of the goods from Amazon, not Amazon itself, IMO. It was UPS's negligence that got the shipment stolen. UPS shouldn't be leaving packages at your door unless you expressly give them permission, and requiring a signature should preempt that; I believe that's their policy.

UPS is afraid of me so I rarely sign for anything. I've always been very friendly to them.

But twice a year they send this girl when the guys are on vacation. WOW. I need to get a pick of this young lady. They don't grow 'em like that round these parts.

Ive officially complained and I feel somewhat better, I got a call shortly after my last post in the thread the reaction on the phone from the UPS supervisor @ the facility was priceless...'OMG! (pause) This package was internally marked for an adult signature and I apologize we absolutely will not allow for that to happen again, we will make every effor to ensure your packages are delivered correctly.
