You think they'll shut down 100 FFLs at once?
They can, and they HAVE. Remember the PICS outages that were happening last year? They effectively shut down every FFL in the state. (Whether or not it was intentional, we'll leave up to the tin foil hatters)

The PSP has control over PICS. If they don't want an FFL selling, all they have to do is punch a couple keys and voilą! The FFL can no longer sell ANY firearms.

This makes me wonder why the PICS system even exists when you can go directly to the NICS. Maybe its time we did away with the entire PA Firearms division of the PSP. Just the 4473 and the ATF paperwork if you buy more than 1 pistol at a time. Why the hell else does the PSP need control over any firearm purchases anyways. Btw Ronin comes back on the 9th/10th of this month and I'll call him to see if Sam's office has gotten back to him by then. Saw at the Dicks in Reading the other day the pistol form is required to purchase both the R-15 and the R-25. (Who in their right mind would try and make a pistol out of the R-25... :P)

I suppose all it will take is one person to confront the State Police and demand that the show THE LAW that allows them to require the handgun routine.

Jeez...I have a chunk of billet steel here that could make a fine handgun, if I chose to machine it into that form, rather than a set of rods....

I just fired off emails to Senator Jake Corman and Representative Kerry Benninghoff with these concerns asking for a get together with them or a staffer to go fuller into the discussion. Their both good guys and Corman is starting to get some power in the senate.

When I hear from them, I'll report what they said. We need to get everyone to write to their Reps and Senators no matter where in the state so that they maybe will start talking amongst themselves about this matter (ie., Kerry Benninghoff, "Sam, I heard from one of my constituents about this PSP thing and they said you were looking into it, what's going on?")
