I'm already going to college and studying hard. I already used my brother's example to try and show you that it still wouldn't be possible for one college student to cover all the needs of a severely disabled person. Had it not been for "socialist" laws that provide educational and therapeutic funds to such children, my brother would not have received any therapy. Both of my parents are disabled (one from a work accident and the other from psychological problems). Had it not been for Social Security Disability, my entire family would be out on a street corner somewhere. You are so ignorant to the fact that some people cannot just dig themselves out of a hole, no matter how much they would like to.

You don't have to kill someone. Simply firing the gun at a wall would probably be more than enough to scare a would-be invader away. I don't pick and choose what I want to follow. I embrace all of the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

Firing at a wall may get you put in jail though. You weren't apparently in fear of your life enough to use deadly force against the intruder, so you used it on a wall instead. And if you weren't in fear of your life, or weren't in actual harm, your use of deadly force would not be justified.
