I don't know what to say... I mean, that is an all around shitty deal.

Where's the part where I said I didn't research the laws? I didn't know about the signs (didn't research that part) so I opted to not bring it into the building, I looked up the laws regarding transporting it in the state for the purposes of shooting at a range as I planned.

Stored unloaded with no ammo in the vehicle as I didn't have a valid Ohio CCW - and I had maps to perry to and from the hotel already printed out etc so that the path there was the fastest as well as routes to places to get ammo marked on the map.

Not everyone can account for everything, every time. As I was within the laws in this situation, I still blame the criminals.

Key point. "The law" is the reason a gun is "on the streets".

Knowing that particular part of the law would not have kept a criminal from breaking into his locked vehicle and stealing all of that stuff.

Nuts is about right. Im mostly mad about losing my family photos and having to explain it all to my sobbing daughter who doesnt have her ds anymore.

I can get a pa-63 mak for like $150 if I try, not the xd I had but...better than nothing.

checked the ohio section - nothing about anything sign related, but it corroborates everything I researched before I left for the trip.

The car was broken into, and vandalized on hotel property?

Did you file a police report? Doesn't the police report state where exactly the theft and vandalism occurred?

Make a case! Go through their insurance or settle out of court. Hotels don't want bad publicity, its bad for business. Might be in their best interest to just cut you a nice fat check.
