Default An Early Father's Day Gift

OK, it may not be what you're expecting. But it's very cool anyway. My daughter painted this for me. It's my S&W 642. Yeah, it's not a sexy gun or anything, but it's the only one I have.

I beg to differ, that's not ALL you got... You have a thoughtful daughter. You got a gift from the heart!

From one DAD to another, Happy Fathers' day!

Yes, I have to admit, I'm blessed. She was real excited to paint this for me. And I even think this painting experience may serve to soften the rest of the family to the idea of a gun in the house, and even being carried. It's new to me, and so it is very foreign to them. We'll see.

Funny thing is... a neighbor friend of my wife's was just over, and I showed her this painting. Then she asked if I have an LTCF. I said yes, and then she said her husband does too - and he needs a reference to get it renewed. Of course, I said he could use me. Again, that little conversation may help my wife come around to the fact that guns are not inherently evil.

I edited my original post. I see why you thought this. I didn't mean that's "all" I got from her. I meant, the boring 642 is the only gun I own.
