Default Need advice on a timer

I went to my clubs pin shoot yesterday and we were using shot timers. I would like to get one for my own practice.

The one the range officer brought was about 8 years old according to him. It was very simple, just hold the button for 2 second (or so) and release, 3 second delay and it would beep. I don't know if more modern units have more features, but I can't imagine what else I would need.

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive timer? Or have one to sell?

dj,

Go to Midway, Brownells, Natchez Shooting Supplies etc. They all sell timers and should describe the functions. Also if you can get your hands on one of the practical shooting magazines there are probably ads for them there.

PACT Club Timer II.

It's light and has a very small footprint (size).

CED 7000.

The lightest/thinnest timer out there. And rechargeable. Get the rubberized cover and the spring loaded lanyard.

Midway has them for $119.

I use a LOT of timers. There are timers built like tanks, but for basic usage get something compact and easy to use.
