Default Anybody Else Watching NBC 10?
There was just a story about some moron who tried to rob a vetrinary hospital. The news story made it seem like it was the off duty (and unarmed) cop who prevented the robbery.

Only in passing did they mention that the vet assistant when confronted by the would be robber reached into her purse and pulled out her concealed revolver. The off duty (and sigh...unarmed...) cop put the perp on the ground.

Score one for good guys. Too bad the ubber liberal nbc news can't report the whole story...that maybe armed citizens are a good thing.

Off duty LEO cannot carry at the VA. :-(

I think he meant Vet and in Animal hospital, not Vet as in Veterans

I saw it, though I don't know if it was NBC10 or not. The one I was watching mentioned the Vet Tech reaching in her purse to get her pistol, very clearly. Didn't seem like they avoided it at all. The vet tech put a stop to a long string of robberies in the area. The bad guy was wanted for several other area hold-ups and the cops were having trouble finding him.
