i used to be a mamber over there. the shrill self righteous bs was too much. it's poorly moderated and the staff is a bunch of putzes. if you want get into AK's the right way go to akforum.net instead. much friendlier crowd of folks.

And if that happened here? We would all be really nice about it wouldn't we. You don't think there would be whinning, bitching, complaining, demanding going on here.

Didn't you guys read the whole thread. This Mod was not only banning people, he was then screwing with others as another person under another name. Then he ran a false add to try to con the members out of money. Apparently they believe he has done this before too. He was given the status as a Moderator so he is suppose to be a bit more professional then everyone else. He turned out to be total scum.

Man... I'ld be pissed off big time too. And so would everyone else on this site. I can't blame them at all. The truth is coming out. And it isn't good. And they are PISSED OFF and I don't blame them.

If the site is strong. It will recover and move on and learn from this.

Lets hope that the jerk isn't a member over here under another signature.

No we wouldnt be nice about it. Yes there would be bitching and moaning. However I would like to think that the thread would be locked and that our mods would be a little more professional. To have the site admin getting baited into a pissing match is bad for the rep of the board.

I agree that our crew is pretty darn good over here.

But the Admin isn't getting baited. Their rep is just as much in the air as every other mod. (Kind of how everyone thinks that all LEO suck cause of the actions of a one or two on this sight) No, I wouldn't want to be a mod over there right now. That would be madness.

I think that is why there is so much bitching. They deserve to bitch. They have been baited and messed with big time, and by those that are suppose to enforce the rules (back to the bad LEO thing again aren't we).

And not just a mod, but by someone who is a good friend of the owner of the sight. You know this guy had to have some idea what was going on.

If this site survives I'll be amazed. I think I would move on if it was that bad on this site.

Man I have been on a few boards that came close to that. I love the part where the guy in question had like three different screen names and was a mod on top of it. So he would start a fight and piss someone off under one name then sign in as the mod and tear the guy a new one as a mod.

All I can say is the guy in question better refund the guys money and dig himself a very large hole to hide in.

I'm on another board (International) where we got notice last night it was purchased by one of the really great members. You have no idea how thrilled we are that one of the best posters and mods on the board is the big cheese. The original owner was one of the best I have ever seen. What I love about that board is ego's are kept in check at the keyboard.

The board takes on the personality of it's owner and the people he or she surround themselves with. Need I say more on the AK board.

By baiting the admin I mean keep digging a bigger hole rather than simply stating something once or fessing up to a mess up. It would be such a circus if the admin would just say. Lesson learned, we screwed up and thanks for calling us on our crap. Or The resolution is(fill in the blank). Even if the mod did nothing "wrong" they are now entering into the world of "we need to do something to save face thank you for your service you are no longer a mod"

I got a line on some nice Russian Makarovs. Anyone interested in a group buy? If so, PM me and I'll tell you where to send your money order.
