Cool Sight changes

I have fixed sights on my pistol, if I need to move the strike of the bullet to the right, do I tap the rear sight to the right or left?. Thanks for any help.

Right.

F.O.R.S.

Front - Opposite

Rear - Same

Just like Tony said. Do to the rear sights what you want the bullet to do. If you have to do something to the front sight you do the opposite of what you want the bullet to do.

Cool Re: Sight changes

Before moving sights are you sure you aren't slapping the trigger?

How do intend on "persuading" your fixed sight?

Who cares if he is slapping the trigger? Maybe he has shot that way for years, and will not be able to break the habit. If he moves the sight and hits where he is aiming, what is the difference? Anyway, the dude didn't ask about fixing his trigger pull, he asked about moving the sight.

Cool Re: Sight changes

Are you actually saying it is better to compensate for a bad habit and one he may not know he has? Perhaps you were mistaking my comment as an attack directed towards him rather than troubleshooting? With 19 posts on the forum he's at least new here, maybe to shooting as well?

There are degrees of slapping the trigger, especially when induced by stress. Not uncommon to go from slightly low left to completely missing the target when excited.
