Default Oddities & novelty guns

I have always been interested in the novelty guns like the flashlight gun, cane guns, palm fired guns, etc.
I searched but didn't see any threads dedicated to novelty gun photos so now we have one.
I just saw a little revolver on antiques roadshow last week that was built into a purse. It was late 19th century about 1885 & The idea was that you pretend to fumble with your purse but actually you were pushing a button that dropped the trigger out of the bottom of the purse & the bbl popped out the side & then you could shoot the robber. It was a side pin fired revolver mechanism. I can't find a photo of it online though. If anyone comes across that one please post!

Here are a few to get started:

Turbiaux Palm pistol.
French origin circa 1882
caliber 6 mm
capacity 10 rounds

Also available in an american made 7 round .32 version circa 1883

Swiss mini gun reportedly the worlds smallest functional gun
its entire body measures a mere 2.16-inches in size & it uses super tiny bullets that are only 0.35-inch long.

Video here:

Key FOB gun
These double bbl fob guns were made in Bulgaria as small emergency flare guns for life jackets but have been converted to fire .25 caliber bullets.
(reportedly these are big in the UK where guns have been totally outlawed)

3mm English pocket watch gun

.17 Browning machine gun

Forget where I saw it but someone came up with a cellphone gun. I saw a video of it and it looked to be about the most dangerous gun I've ever seen.

How bout a .22lr machine gun that fires upwards of 2000 rounds per minute? It was invented by David Marhall "Carbine" Williams. It was invented to break up human wave attacks in wars in Asia.

Is that sufficiently odd? Lol

You can actually buy one--unworking version, unfortunately--from here for only 5-8k.

If I had the money to simply piss away, I would have quite a bit of stuff from that site...

One gun that permeates these odd gun threads is the Dardick pistols, that used the triangular rounds call "trounds"

Think of a magazine loaded revolver. http://www.securityarms.com/20010315.../1300/1358.htm

The other one is the Gyrojet rocket pistol

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoffTmg9bxU

(One huge issue with those.. if you stopped the rocket before it got momentum... well, it wouldnt go really at all.)

And when Collosopods are out of season, you can play a passable rendition of Sweet Georgia Brown on it...

That's gotta be a lot of fun to hold up and on target. I'm trying to figure out why this gun was built. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Oh well, to each their own.
