This conversation is pointless, because I'm talking to the expert when it comes to crossbows. The things you wrote were wrong and you won't even admit to it. If you knew anything about the Excal, you would know how easy it is to cock them.

Of course a 200lb or 225lb crossbow is going to be harder to cock compared to your 150lb CB. Have a "fair" comparision and people might actually believe what you write.

That would be like comparing a .223 to a .308 and saying that the recoil from the .308 is more. DUH

Here is a quote I found from a Horton owner.

Unless they have improved their trigger/latch system it will probably have a poor trigger pull and the bottom release claws do nothing to promote accuracy. I've owned Horton compounds and they were not that great.

Sure the Horton will take game, but if you want the best...buy a Ten Point or Excal crossbow. With all equipment, you will find both ends of the spectrum. You will have the best products and the worst products. We as consumers must decide what we end up buying.

If I took Bear Titan's logic, I'd try to compare a Lorcin to an Ed Brown custom. Nuff said.

Hard to believe that not everyone shares your opinion. I am trying to add my personal experience to this thread in order to help the poster make a decision. If you want to attack members personally, take it somewhere else.

You have your opinion and I have mine. I hope that the guy who started this thread makes his decision based on his own experiences and those of others on the forum. Yours and my opinions are just two of those.

Just chimming in for Excalibur's sake. I'm a traditionalist at heart so Excalibur's recurve limbs was an instant sale to me. No wheels and pulleys to screw me up..just B strand for the 'tie ur own' fella or buy a fast-flight for faster and a more noise. 300+fps is like a bullet to a longbow man. Killer accurate with zero practice and even me(shoulder cripple) can cock it if I need to. If you must have lighter cocking...try an in-line. (ouch)(sorry)
