The Eagles totally had their head implanted. Why waste a second round pick on a QB who the whole world sees as a late third, possibly fourth, rounder especially when you consider the major needs are on the D line, D back field and WR? There were still several very viable WRs out there at the time. After that pick I really don't care. The most irritating point to me was trading our first rounder to Dallas of all freakin' teams!

I'm a Steelers fan living in Birds country... I've gotta say I'm gonna enjoy the soap opera out here.

Steelers draft:: I think we did pretty good. We got the linebackers we needed and a punter that can tackle with the best of them. I like the punter pick. Our special teams were horrid last year. Gardocki is history. The TE pick confused me a little until I heard Tomlin wants to try some 3 TE spreads on offense. I say give him a shot. I'm not gonna bury Tomlin unless there's no improvement in a couple years. We're in a rebuilding mode now.

Eagles draft:: WTF? They traded picks with the Cowboys????? I hate the Cowgirls as much as any Birds fan. But to have them HELP the cowboys?? Put down the crack pipe and step away.

As for their first pick of Kevin Kolb... I think it's a good move. McNabb has had some serious injuries the last 5 years. Granted they aren't related and kind of fluky but still. I think it's time they look forward to a time when McNabb is no long on the team. Plus he's a freakin headcase. I also like their pick of Tony Hunt. If the Birds will continue to runt he ball they will have success this year.

the stillers draft was OK. it depends a lot on how timmons works out. they certainly needed linebackers.

i was kind of expecting them to switch to a 4-3 with tomlin as coach, but they didn't really draft that way (since they did not draft available 4-3 type defensive ends). so maybe they are going to stick with the 3-4 for now at least.

personally, i think one of their biggest needs, though, is a shut down cornerback. i think i would have rather seen them draft leon hall (since revis was already gone) in the first round.

I could actually buy a QB pick, but Kolb? Come on here, his own mother never heard of him until Saturday. Seriously though running a shotgun offense like he did in high school and college does not exactly ready you for running the West Coast offense in the bigs. I would have been much happier had they taken the kid from Ohio State, strong arm, moves well and seems to be fairly smart. Picked up their pro-set offense easily. I'm really pissed that we didn't grab a WR early in the draft though, the one piece of the offensive puzzle that they've been missing for the most part is a true number 1 and it looks like its going to stay that way.

Eagles: I dont mind the qb but feel probably could have gotten him later in the third round. It was nice to see them take Hunt for iam a big PSU fan.

The last time Philly booed a draft pick was Donny McDabby, I think. They were right then and are still right on the money.

I am a huge steelers fan, but I do respect the eagles very much for what they do with there team.

For the steelers draft, overall very good clearly see the defensive mind in tomlin. Timmons is definately going to turn out to be a good pick. I only had two problems with their draft. Taking a Corner in the 6th round and not taking a RB at all. If they think they are going to get another willie parker for an undrafted free agent they need to get their heads checked. With a cornerback being a weak spot on the team it seems they are going to be putting all there cards on ike taylor coming back and becoming like his old self again can only wait to see.
