Default Re: What do you take to the range with you?

When I actually get to go shoot, I usually end up with a bag with:

4x5 cards
1 inch circle maker thingy
few coins
black marker
ammo
hearing protection, lots of
three piece .22 cal rod
rem oil
few hex wrenches...screwdrivers
water if itll be a while, or its hot

I usually take what I only needed to shoot at the practice range for that day, it maybe an AK, pistol, shot gun, etc. and with 200-hundred ammo. each, (not with shot guns), and just enjoy the days and smell the aroma of gun powder burns and presto!!! I got it made.

Whatever guns I'm shooting that trip (My Kimber .40 ALWAYS, my Colt Mustang, sometimes a .22 if I'm working on smething in particular, sometimes a Sprinfield 1911 A-1 to put big holes).

I put the spare mags of what I'm shooting in my range bag. My bag contains prtective glasses, LOTS of ammo, oil, a couple of bore snakes, a small tool set, two sharpies, a pen, a small notebook, ear protection, targets.

That's about it.

I shoot, I clean up, I go home... Life is good.

Q: What do you take to the range with you?

A: Excuses!

• Must be 'cause of the wind.

• Must have bumped the sights.

• G.D. cheap f-ing ammo!

• Hands are shaky, didn't eat breakfast.

• I think someone moved the targets farther back.

• The target moved!

• The barrel must be bent.

• Dirt got in my eye.

• This GUN sucks!

• She still needs broken in.

• Barrel worn out from shooting too much.

• Recovering from an eye injury.

• The list goes on and on!!!
