Default Federal American Eagle bulk .223 in bucks county!!!!

OK, its not here yet, but the Ammo truck is coming to Claytons.

Federal American Eagle .223 55rg FMJ

I found this shop today and they had ammo, lots of ammo, and I struck up a conversation with the owner. I mentioned this site and he told me that if I could get enough people together that he could give us a deal on this ammo. He has it in store for $450 for the bulk packed 1000rnds but told me he could do a lil better if I got enough people in on it.

He hinted at $425, but wouldnt give me an exact number of people to try and gather so Ill just throw this up and see who wants to partake. Once I get an idea of who is in I can call him and firm things up and you can go in and pick it up or he will ship to you.

IMO, for $425 its a good deal, for $450 its average, but he literally has a truck load coming and will set this aside if we get in early so there wont be any Panic or calls for ammo that isint there.

Thats all the details I have as I literally stumbled onto this.

Did you happen to see if they have any Black Hills 223 in stock?

Not to knock your effort but $425-$450 for fed AE .223 is way too high. You can still get xm193 (real 5.56 ammo) for that price.

Again, not knocking you just stating my opinion. I guess if you don't have any .223 / 5.56 ammo at all and don't know where to find it that this might be an okay buy.

Every day here there is another thread about there not being any ammo. Heres ammo. No one likes the prices now, but if you want to shoot .42 per round isint that bad for Fed considering that Wolf is going for $8+ a box.

Guns, Care to tell us where your source of 193 is? Do a lil public service and give back to the forum? How about some place that actually has AM in stock that wont be gone in 3 min. I got this guy willing to hold cases for forum members, They have around a week to get on and get in, I dont get what your saying.

Burnsie, Yep they have the red box and the white box, and I wish I would have bought some but I bought other stuff instead.

Are you talking to me? I didn't have any problem with what you wrote. All i was trying to say was i thought the lower power AE .223 was too expensive when you can get the higher power xm193 for nearly the same price. AE .223 is ok ammo for plinking but it will lack fragmentation due to the lower velocity. For the same price, you can get the hotter / better xm193 ammo. That is all. Didn't mean to piss you off either.

This week I bought XM193 for $363/1000 plus $18 shipped from Mid South Shooters Supply. They are now sold out.

Ammunition to go hs Prvi M193 for $399 - in stock, but too rich for my blood.

    www.anderson-arms.com has reman for $320

Most of these are sold out at the moment:

Midway sells Wolf for $283, sportsmansguide $242, and aimsurplus $275 shipped

    Spragues sells AE for $389

I think you can get Prvi for $360 and Centurian for $330 from either Wiedners or Palmetto State Armory. They don't always hit the website, you have to call to see when it's coming in and backorder if possible. Maybe one or both are at aimsurplus, I forget, but same deal.

Now, you may say, "Those places are sold out! The point is this ammo is in stock." Well, I have kind of the opposite perspective. All of the prices I listed above sold in the last couple weeks, mostly this week. I think nowadays if you are going to buy ammo before each range trip or only buy ammo when you run out your are going to get badly screwed. It's better to have a couple cases for shooting and only buy when the deals are in stock. I know I'm not going to pay $450 or $500 for AE, XM193, or Prvi any time soon.

Sure but it is 450 shipped---what is the tax going to be for the local pick up? Plus, you get the stripper clips. There is no tax on the mail order ammo. Next, the mail order is real 5.56 xm193 not the low power AE .223.
