That ain't normal, you are over 60 days now!! You should call!!

yea im going to tomorrow...i really cant foresee it taking this long except maybe if i was denied. but there's no way since i have a 100% clean record and have all my life

And if it was denied, you should have gotten a denial letter from the sheriff.

If this is your first LTCF, check with your boss or people you placed as contacts and see if they were contacted!

You will get a letter either way!

yea i asked and everyone said they have not been contacted...so i dont know what's going on...either way im gonna call tomorrow and try to get some answers

ok so i called today and they told me i have been approved for my ltcf and have been since august!!! they said they must have "misplaced" my letter or it got lost in the mail..a little frustrated but content that i can now pick up my ltcf

We've had frequent discussion under this thread about the long delays in processing LTCF's at the Sheriff's office in Delaware County. And I notice that the Pennsylvania Firearms Owners Against Crime web site (http://www.foac-pac.org/) voters guide lists "No suitable candidate" for Sheriff for Delaware County.

Has the speed of the process improved in the past few months? Does the current Sheriff deserve our vote today?

If he does then we should probably say so.

If not, isn't there someone in Delaware County with law enforcement experience who is pro-LTCF who could run against him?

Despite all of our complaining it doesn't look like we have much choice with this selection at the polls today. But maybe my impression of the sheriff is inaccurate or unfair? Maybe there are facts I should know that should cause me to want to vote for him?
