Default Leather or nylon range bag?

I'm trying to decide between 2 range bags. The nylon one is cheaper, but the leather one doesn;t look like a range bag, and I like that. What are your thoughts???

Although I can see where a range bag can be hidden better then a caise, I prefer hard cases my self, just posted on an other thread about one of the cases I go tfrom there. Prices are good, but shipping can be a bit pricy, best get a few people who want them before ordering as there is a drop if you order more then one on shipping.

For looks I say the leather, but for function I say nylon.

The leather will absorb and retain moisture.

But if it is strictly for indoor range time........Leather.

Looks like nylon it is. I never took into consideration the leather getting wet.

I got a bag at K-Mart, I think it was $10, by Ingear, found it in the sporting goods section. Has lots of compartments, inside and out, has a shoulder strap and hand straps. Works good for me.

Leather will get ruined by repeated exposure to rain. I'd recommend nylon with "feet" to keep the bottom surface dry when placing it on wet surfaces.

Got my range bag at Dicks. It's made by allen. Outer shell is duck cloth and is lined in nylon. Has a hard bottom and feet to keep it elevated from whatever you put it on. Comes with two gun rugs and has a double zipper opening, internal pockets on each side and one external pocket. The only thing it doesn't have is a shoulder strap. A bit pricey at $30 but is well made and will last a long while.
