Default Skeet shooting at scotia?

Hey I'm new here, and I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is skeet shooting at scotia, and if there is, where it is at with respect to the pistol range that seems to always be locked up when I go there?

This should help decide whether or not I'll bother getting a shotgun.

Thanks.

Funny you should ask. My sister swore there was a skeet shooting range at Scotia and I spent 30 minutes on Sunday driving around trying to find it.

I'd love to have a definitive answer to this.

I don't think that there is an actual skeet range set up. There are several areas for shooting shotguns and most people take their own throwers and set them up to use in the shotgun areas. I know at least one person that goes out there at least once a week to shoot.

So they have no problem if you bring your own throwers and shoot some clay at the shotgun range? Or does this person do it without permission?

bring your own throwers and set up across the driveway from the main building. They also have a sporting clay range on the way in from the Gatesburg rd entrance.

I have shot skeet before using my friends thrower mounted on a spare tire at the aux range.

I've never actually used a shotgun before, which is why I am unfamiliar with practices at the shotgun range heh.

My brother and I shot shotguns there this past weekend. We used a hand thrower in the shotgun area. There are two picnic tables there and what looks like two areas to shoot from. I think it would be crowded with more than one group of people. Luckily we were able to shoot by ourselves.
