Default As a result of my open carrying in church...

Last night at a meeting, a friend of mine approached me and handed me a paper.

"Here, I need you to sign this for me."

I looked, and it was an application for a LTCF! He wanted me for a reference, even though he knows of my last interaction with Rossi.

This gentleman is in his early 70s, and has owned a couple of handguns for many years, but never considered carrying one. Now, with things the way they have gotten to be, and through seeing me carry, he has decided it would be a good idea to get his license, get some training, and start carrying.

I don't think that he will come completely over to the dark side of OC, but I don't really care about that. It is enough to see others arming themselves and not depending on the government, or worse, a false sense of security.

As people get older (myself included), they become fixed in their opinions and less willing to change. Encouraging to see that this guy kept an open mind and was willing to re-evaluate.

Nice work Pennsy, for helping someone change their mind for the better.

Holy heart failure, Batman! If you are calling yourself old and fixed at 35, what the hell are you going to like when you hit my age?

That, Sir, was one Hell of a lot more than I needed to know!

Pennsy, great job on bringing one more to the LTCF Club! Rep well deserved and on its way!

However, I wouldn't call OCing the "dark side" as you did in your OP. I like to refer to it as the "enlightening side"!

Keep 'em coming. I tell everyone all the time: If you want to send a clear message to Obama and legislators who want to ban guns, the solution is simple. - BUY A GUN! IF YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE OR MORE, GO BUY ANOTHER!
