How many of you have sent letters to your reps? I'm betting that there's a hell of alot more people on here that haven't sent letters, or done anything for that matter to fight for their 2A rights, than there are people that actually got their asses out of bed and wrote some letters.

I bet if I started a thread titled ".45ACP is the shittiest round ever" there would be 14 pages of BS. Yet somebody posts something about sending letters to your reps, and some forums even have these "pre-packaged" letters that you can just fill your info in and send to your reps, and you guys do nothing. There are almost 16,000 views on the thread "Whats your favorite .22 handgun". I think it's a safe bet to say that this thread, or any thread thats trying to get you guys to do something about our rights, won;t reach half or even a quarter of that.

I'm personally getting tired of emailing reps, and talking to the state reps that come into work (we actually have quite a few each week for one of the PCNC shows)

You guys call yourself gun owners, but you'd rather get into pointless discussions about which caliber is more manly, or which gun is the end-all for reliability, instead of doing something to help you keep those guns.

If we put 1/4 the effort in to pro gun campaigns as the Brady's put in to their anti-gun, we'd be farther along than we are now.

There are 8,000 members here. If e each sent one letter to a state rep, or hell, if we sent a package of 8,000 pro-gun letters to NBC, do you know what an impact that would have?

For those of you that read this, and still choose to do nothing but whine about losing your rights, get the f*ck out of the way, because the rest of us have work to do.

Just as an example, I started a thread as a tribute to our veterans. You hear nothing but crickets chirping there as well. (I do appreciate the contributions thus far by the way) I was so disgusted by the lack of response, I posted a thread titled "what color was your poo this morning" including a link to the tribute thread because I knew more people would talk about "crap" than would take a moment to thank/honor a veteran. Sad.

That "poo" thread was quickly locked and I understand why. I only did it out of frustration over something I feel strongly about.

The antis ARE more motivated than many of us and I think this needs to be addressed. I hope a few people are motivated by this post.

This is the main reason I joined this forum. I now carry on a regular basis, mainly to act as a constant reminder on my hip what I am fighting for.

My rep is very pro 2A and I get alerts from his office.
I prefer to work on the state level.
That being said I'm open

I want to do more! WE need to organize. Whatever it takes.

I am one who has fired off (pardon the pun) several e-mails. One to both the majority and minority leaders of the Judiciary, one to my own representative and one to one of the co-sponsors of the HB requiring registration (forgot the number right this second). I have always been very vocal to my state and national Senators and Representatives regarding any issue near and dear to me...this one especially.

Uhmm..I have posted where I sent emails, I have sent actual letters. (used my last two $0.32 stamps.) I haven't made phone calls, but have received a phone message on my cell phone from Senator Inhofe. Short of driving down to DC, going into the Office and asking to see the Senator, I do not know how I can get more involed with trying to keep my Representation more informed of how I feel.

I even sent an email when the bill for the right to vote for DC came out. I think it is wrong. They are a District. Who will lose representation so that they can have it? Who will lose electoral college votes? The largest populated states already run the country.

I sent 3 letters today. 1 a follow up on the bill to get rid of the PSPs gun database. 2 to my representatives about the need for a bill that would override schools policys of banning firearms, like the one that failed in VA.

Today/Tomorrow I will type up something on my opposition to all of these gun bills in general.

i cant agree more for what youre saying..i just joined this sight to find others that think the way i do...who can i send these letters to? how do i go about it?

last month at drill( im in the national guard) we sent around a petition against the most recent legislation. almost 60 people signed it that day. i want to start somethign of my own.. we need to be heard...

and another thing....for those who created that website for our veterans..thank you... i spent a year over there.... I greatly appreciated all the support i received from those back home
