I write to my reps. I try to organize local shooting events. Hell, I even got a candidate for Sheriff to come to one of them. Everyone knows that those polls are all over every gun forum on the net and not a single one of them means dick. I'm not going to sign all these petitions from petitionmagic.com or wherever because who really cares about a petition that isn't formally signed anyways?

You know what matters? Pushing candidates that hold real beliefs to your family, friends and co-workers, not spamming disingenuous politicians with tacky form letters. What matters are when you introduce a new shooter and they go buy a gun and become active (like I did a year ago).

I'm not an opportunist looking to push my agenda after a tragedy. I'm not like the anti-gunners that want to capitalize on the shoulda, coulda, woulda and I don't think I should have to reply to these threads just so everyone knows that I'm not one of the slackers.

I mean no offense, just tired of these threads cutting people down for not replying to other threads. Between the polls, the IMPENDING DOOM threads and all the threads on the shooting at VT, I'm sick of looking at them. When people come to this forum, they come for many reasons but being chastised isn't one of them.
