Pukindog, not trying to be impolite and discount your story because lots of strange things happen.

I was in a class several years ago with a deputy sheriff instructor. Woman asked if she was threatened that maybe she might just shoot the attacker in the leg. Deputy answered " Maam, If somebody has me dragged out of the car and beating me with a baseball bat and you stop by, I wish you would aim a little higher.
