So when Hillary or some other uber-lefty has this power, you'll still be thrilled? You know, no oversight of it and no defined criteria for "suspected terrorist" is a good thing, right? You know, because having guns will never be that criteria or opposing political affiliations will never be that....right?

Not trying to be a dick but anyone can be defined as anything especially in inclimate political weather. "Terrorist" is just a new "Communist" but it's the same citizen witchhunt.

You don't have anything to hide now but under another Administration, you just might.

I always have something to hide. If for no other reason than my right to hide it until due process forces me not to.

highchild I agree with you. I am not a bush fan. I voted for him 2 times. I am actually looking forward to him leaving. I didnt like his father either. The problem is if you dont vote for the so called better of the 2 evils your vote is lost. Now if it comes to guialini or billary. i might skip the pres vote and vote on all the other elections. This nation has come to a point where it doesnt matter who you vote for. They are all corrupt.

Look at the indians. They were bitching that the Americans screwed them and they finally got some perks for their bitching. Well I spoke to a customer who is an American indian and she told me the Chief of her trib is just as corrupt as the American politician.

So human nature is- when in power screw the little guy. The founders knew this. They were brilliant men. People dont want to acknowledge that. If we didnt always screw with the constitution we wouldnt be in this mess.

GUYS JUST REMEMBER THIS. THE FINAL SAY ON MOST EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS COMES FROM THE SUPREME COURT. LIKE IT OR NOT, WHEN YOU VOTE FOR THE PRESIDENT, YOU ARE ALSO VOTING FOR THE SUPREME COURT JUSTICES THAT WILL DETERMINE THE LAW THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH . AS SOON AS THE COURT GOES STRONG TO THE LEFT, KISS YOUR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHT GOOD BY. THE NEW SENATE AND CONGRESS HAS BEEN IN OFFICE FOR JUST A LITTLE OVER 3 MONTHS, AND THERE IS A FLOOD OF GUN CONTROL LEGISLATION IN BOTH HOUSES. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR, AND LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE.

I didn't really mean for my comments to become a Kerry vs. Bush argument. We're long past that bridge. What my intentions were that the Red vs. Blue map isn't representative of Gun Owners or more specifically, those in favor and those opposed to gun control.

Meaning, I am staunchly pro-gun but my personal opinion was that, overall, the other option was better for this country. I could have been wrong, we'll never know.

Many people, including friends, family and co-workers voted for people other than Bush but are staunchly pro-gun, anti-control. All the map reflects is Bush vs. Kerry and not people's views on anything other than a candidate.

My apologies for veering off course with my posts.

I voted for Kerry. But now that Bush has appointed two USSC Justices who actually respect the Constitution, I am glad that he won.
But not all Democrats are anti-gun. Democrat Bill Richardson (who is running for President in 2008) was endorsed by the NRA in the race for governor of New Mexico.

This map, from Neal Boortz's page today, is also one that Democrat gun-grabbers should take note of:

THC is right, regardless of whether or not you trust Bush with the power he has assumed, how scared are you that Hillary or Obama may have it next? The loss of liberty always comes full circle, and Karma is indeed, a nasty, unforgiving bitch.

It seems like some people are okay with the loss of Liberty so long as their side is in control, I'm one my own side, that of "We the people", some of you may have heard of that one. You pom-pom waving Republicrats and Democans who only care if your side is winning can all go to hell as far as I'm concerned. And make no mistake, you are going to hell (figuratively speaking), the problem is, you're taking the rest of us and this Republic with you. There are no gray areas to liberty, we are either a free people or we are not. If Ron Paul or someone similar does not get elected next time, we're all in trouble no matter if the White House is tinted Red or Blue. You're all sitting around in a coal mine full of dead canaries trying to tell the rest of us how bad things could be if someone else was in charge...wait until they are (and it's already bad enough anyway).

Okay, I don't want to get entrenched in a debate with true believers of either flavor of Kool-Aid; wrestling with pigs in the mud come to mind in that regard, I just did laundry. Enjoy the discussion.
