Default Portable gun safe for handguns

I am thinking about buying a portable gun safe. It fits under a car seat and is hooked to the seat frame. Does anyone out there have one or know anybody who does? I guess it is better than just trying to hide the gun on occasions when it can't be carried. Any thoughts or comments?

I have one for short time safety, I would not think of leaving anything in it for a long period of time. perhaps if it was welded to the frame of the car but I use the cable right now, but as i said it is only to run into a hospital or other restricted place.

I have carried in a local hospital many times and have never had a problem. As far as I am aware, hospital carry is not any more restricted then carrying at McDonalds or anywhere else not prohibited by law. Although it would be tresspassing if they asked you to leave and you did not. As far as the safes are concerned I think bolted down would be the way to go as a small pair of bolt cutters would take care of the cable in short order.

I'm sorry, as my bookmarks got wiped out, I don't have the direct URL.
They come with a stranded steel cable, and you can get keyed, keyed alike or combination locks.
I ordered two keyed alike, and now have both in the car: one under the front seat, and the other in the trunk.
NOthing is totally foolproof, but they aren't getting my weapons without a struggle!
BTW, their customer service is top shelf, and they shipped my two in record time! I highly recommend the company and their equipment.
