Involuntarily commited help
Folks on this board seem to be a wealth of knowledge in one place. I have a friend that was committed by the parents for not listening when in the teens. This was 20-30 yrs ago.
Would this affect them getting a LTCF? If so there anything that can be done to straighten it out?

Yes if he was committed for 120hrs and/or there was a judgment on it. ....or something like that.
There are legal means to clear it, which he will need to speak to an attorney about doing it properly.

He could've been commited for 3 hours, it doesn't matter. Once that 302 is signed, there is no taking it back. The hospital ships it to the county MH/MR Administration, and they make copies and send it to the PSP Firearms Unit...
