50 cal vs 454 casull

What cartridge is more powerful? Does the 50 cal supercede the 454 Casull? I know the 454 Casull contains rifle primer so the CPU is 60 ksi but how does it compare to a 50 cal or even a 46 or 48 cal? Just curious.

.500 Wyoming Express

Plus a few older ones.....

But to answer the posters original question, again quoting wiki...

Yeah really..

The 454 is still a powerhouse compared to some of the other .45cal, 475cal, and .50cal handgun cartridges.

Note the = < > to which the 454 Casull is relatively comparable. Custom loads can vary results.

454 < 500 S&W Mag
454 > 500 S&W Special
454 > 50 AE
454 => 500 Linebaugh
454 = 500 Linebaugh Long
454 > 50 Bowen Special
454 = 500 Wyoming Expess
454 =< 50 Beowolf
454 > 50GI (is closer powered to a 45ACP)
