As I understand it any posted sign carries no legal "preemption" to your armed presence otherwise we'd see them posted in many places in PA. ONLY if you are "caught" can you be asked to leave the property. Of cours if this is your employer they CAN fire you :-(

Other states have such provisions and the signs must be a certain size... and have specific visibility restrictions as well.

They carry no legal weight. The only thing you can be charged with is defiant trespass is the property owner, or person in charge of the property finds you are carrying, asks you to leave and you refuse.

Maybe this is something PAFOA can do in the future? A Legal Defense Fund for issues? More $ in numbers
Perhaps a violation of the UFA and most likely the state constitution as well. How the state park system can invoke what is for all intents a gun ban and get around Section 21 in the process is something I cannot understand.

Ursavus, I see you've run into our fine Park Rangers/Game Wardens here in Pike county. I fish on Dingmans creek that runs through Childs Park. I've been there twice this year and I've been interrogated once already. This usually happens at least every other time I fish there. One time when I was 13 my dad shot a doe down near rt 209 a few miles from Childs Park. I guess some moron seen a bear run across the rd and called in that someone was shooting at a bear. When we came out of the woods there were 4 cars with about 6 Game Wardens ready to draw their guns. All they kept saying was put your guns on the truck! Like a couple guys with their kids were going to start a gun fight. Eventually they told us why they gave us the felony stop treatment, since a bear is so much more important than treating people like humans. When all was said and done my dad told them we hunted there since we seen so many deer laying next to the rd all year and thought it would be a good idea to cut down the herd. After that he said I hope all the deer get hit by cars and to go F themselves for treating us like we robbed a bank (God I love my Dad). Another time we seen a Warden fine a guy $100 for driving a 75 yr old man up the power line 200 yrds to his tree stand so he could still hunt. He was recovering from a heart attack and they wanted to let the old guy hunt a few more yrs before he died. Some of these guys really suck.

Couldn't 'defiant trespass' be grounds for revocation of a LTCF, though? Also I know there are many crimes with enhanced penalties for when a weapon is involved. Does that also apply here?
