No ....NJ bans all kinds of stuff by name and the magazine ban is anything more than 15 rounds. AK's are a definate NO.

You will be in the clear on the AR if it does NOT have a flash hider or bayo lug, but watch the magazine ban.

I used to belong to the FT Dix range (my parents live close by), nice range, but not worth the hassle.

I would just say leave anything even remotely questionable at home. Whatever fun you might have with them will not come even close to the unfun you will have being arrested for having them.

I think NJ requires a FOID card. If you are going to a shooting event there might be an exception to that FOID card. I know the travel through law exempts the FOID card. My thought on this is leave all weapons at home and use your friends. better yet invite him to PA and have a better time.

The FOID is just for purchase (long guns), I have gone to NJ a few times with old friends at the FT Dix range, just know the NJ ban stuff and make sure everything is unloaded, ammo seperate and locked case preferable. You should have no problems.

I let my membership lapse because it wasn't worth the hassle, the only fun gun I have that is NJ legal is my Garand.

I wouldnt cross state lines into NJ even if I only had a slingshot with me.

You should bring your friend to shoot up here in PA. Im sure he could use a break from all that socialism.
