Default A judge with a concealed weapon permit drew his handgun in court!

A judge pulled his gun out when he felt threatened after a man went ballistic during a recent court case in Florida.

Do you think judges should carry a firearm while in court?

If citizens can't be armed in court, then neither should the judges. That's the whole point of a bailiff.

How can a judge be armed in a court room? Don't they go through security in the morning too? I thought that was the whole point of the bailiffs / Sheriff's deputies in the courthouse/room

It's also not right that LEO's can carry in any state, but citizens can't. Some laws suck.

If I had my way, everyone in that court room other than the defendant would be packin'.

Yes, you're right. I recently read an article that Florida's state law "allows all judges to carry concealed guns if they meet certain proficiency criteria. And, Florida from time to time has had a reputation as a land of gun-happy judges."

Well then there's nothing wrong with that. I never heard of that law, but it sound good to me.

Some pilots can now carry, I heard in Wisconsin? they were looking at having certain teachers have a gun in a lock box in their room for emergencies.
